Very sadly I removed my oldest molly from the tank about an hour ago. He was a big black male and a real character. No obvious signs of anything being wrong, I'm so sad. He'd went under a rock to die and when I moved the rock a tiny fry came flying out!! It's the first fry I've seen in the tank! If there's one, chances are there's more, you think? It's abig rock with lots of nooks and crannies so I'm hoping they're hiding out in there but how will I feed them? Hope some of the flake food finds it's way in?
I also have no idea if it's a molly or guppy. There are 2 female guppies in the tank with the mollies but the males died a couple of months ago, I know it's possible for the females to store sperm so it's possible it's guppy fry. One of them did look pregnant a couple of weeks ago but then she slimmed down and as I saw no evidence of fry I thought she'd aborted or was constipated! I don't think any of my mollies have been pregnant.........mmmm.......must be guppy fry.
