Fish Fanatic
Hi again everyone!
So I recently bought 5 yellow shrimp. They are pretty young still but are doing very well in my tank. I am hoping that they will breed eventually, and I also might get a small colony of crystal reds or bee shrimp to breed.
I also have one large (getting pretty old) amano shrimp in my tank- but I know that he won't breed with the others and that he'd be hard to breed in the first place even if he had some mates.
Question: Someone near me is now selling "orange shrimp" ("Caridina cf. propinqua"?) and I have read that they are like the amanos as far as breeding goes. Is this true?
If it is then that's great - I want lots of variety in my tank without worrying about interbreeding and muddling up the colours. Especially now that I don't think I will add any other fish.
