I am new in this forum so please forgive me if this is in the wrong place. I have a fish tank that I have had for more than 2 years. I have had the same 10 fish for those 2 years. Nothing has changed. I noticed a few days ago that one of them is very inactive. All of the other ones are swimming around like crazy, but this fish is staying at the bottom and although it is breathing and eating, it barely moves. The fish has been like this for days. Does anyone have any ideas on what could be wrong?
Thanks, Melissa :shifty:

Welcome Melissa :)
When was your last water change? It's hard to say what's up with your fish without knowing your water parameters etc but if you haven't done so already you could try a partial water change (de-chlorinated of course).

Thanks. I did a water change. What is weird is none of the other fish are acting like that.

What sort of fish is the inactive one and what are it's tankmates? It's weird to suddenly have a problem with one fish after 2 years of trouble free fishkeeping, but it definitely sounds like something's up.
Do you have a water test kit? If not, take a sample to your local fish store to check the readings for a problem. If the water is ok, it must be a problem with the fish itself. Does your fish look the same as usual on the exterior; shape, colour etc and does it's poop look ok (could be constipated)?
