One Gourami Got Seriously Injured... Need Help

I have two Opaline Gourami, one of them always chasing the other one. Couple of days ago i noticed that one has a small cut in his body and today i saw that something white is just popping out of his body its the size of a small grain.

I do not know what should i do to heal the wound, as i am upset about one Gourami that is always chasing other fish in the tank.

Please advise.

Keep the water very clean to prevent secondary infection other than that, there's not much else you can do...but you may want to reconsider a re-home for one of them. Better that than having to face this issue again.

not sure if its any help, but i had 2 gourami, that did exactly the same, but the women at the fish shop told me to put loads of live plants and plenty of things to keep them occupied, as apparently they love loads of plants.. and i also brought another one so there were 3, and to make sure my tank was plenty big enough, so i brought plenty of plants and did everything she advised, and ever since ive not had 1 problem, they even started breeding..
