Request Help -- lost 1 zebra danio, now a second not eating and always hiding. Do they hurt eachother? The smallest one died, now the next smallest seems to be acting weird. The others are quite a bit bigger.

Tank size: 10 gallons

pH:
ammonia:
nitrite:
nitrate:
kH:
gH:
don't have kit - test at fish store...it was fine on last week's check...

tank temp: 74 degrees

Fish Symptoms (include full description including lesion, color, location, fish behavior):
zebra danio died last week (our first loss!)...it was lying on the bottom, barely moving, looked almost bent in half. It was the smalles of 6 danios. This week, second smallest danio has started hiding in the cave. Won't come out when fed.

Volume and Frequency of water changes: weekly 10% changes, last week was our first 25% change

Chemical Additives or Media in your tank: water conditioner

Tank inhabitants: 5 zebra danios (lost 6th last week), 3 platy

Recent additions to your tank (living or decoration): added 2 of the zebra danios about 2 weeks ago to complete their school...now it seems that they are headed back to 4! I added 2 more danios to the original 4 because the biggest ones were chasing the smaller and two had started hiding. I'd read that their school was probably too small. So I added two more. They did great for a few days (the smaller ones immediately stopped hiding), but then one died, now a second is hiding again.

Exposure to chemicals: my son dropped in one tiny gray rock about 2 days before the fish died, but other than that, nothing new.

Get water tested and tell the lfs to write the readings down for you.
When you say the fish that died was bent do you mean a bent spine.
It sounding bacterial at the moment, any signs of flicking and rubbing.
Though it not helping not having water stats,
