One by one down they fall

I got about 7 fish from petsmart a week ago platies and swords and I got a few cories also. This past week I would notice white around the lips so I treated it and did a water change the next day it died. Today I came home to two dead fish and just now one of my sweet little peppered cories died . I am worried cause every fish that gets that white around their mouth dies either that day or the next day! My favorite marigold male swordie that i picked out has it!!!! I am so p***** off right now.

Could be bacterial infection or something more sinister, use general aid and something for mouth ailments. Right now I'm using the aquadene range and it works pretty well. I also have a betta that ate food but the food got stuck in his mouth and he developed an infection. I treated him but his lower lip is deformed now . He can still eat but I don't think he can bite as well anymore.

Well the rest of em died today I will never buy fish from petsmart again I shouldve known before I bought them. The only reason I bought them was cause I had 3 swords that were doing great that I got from there they even had some fry. I'm not gonna be a cheap head and I will just buy them from my pet store which the fish I got from has had no problems two platies I got from there are still alive and kicking a year now.
