Catfish like to burrow in the mud, and lots of people will catch them by simply walking around in the water looking for holes. When you find a hole you stick your arm down in it, and the catfish is down there waiting for something to eat. He'll bite your arm, at which point you grab his insides and pull 'em out of the hole. Crazy if you ask me!

CFC - Thats just a baby!! I would guess that one goes about 150lbs at most, in some parts of Europe in the larger rivers like the Ebro in Spain Wels catfish have been caught up to around 300lbs!!!!!!

myenigmaself.... that is nuts!! I would never be able to do anything like that. It freaks me out to imagine a gigantic catfish coming at me with its mouth open. If I reached into a hole and it swallowed my arm, I think I would pee all over myself )
