 Hey!!!

I'm bored and for some reason went into my living room and did what I never do (actually watch my fish).. I was really watching my cichlids intensely for some reason and I was noticing how they have all really changed colour and size and even patted myself on the back because the algae growing on the rocks looks great and also the fish have done some great digging so in all the tank looks fantastic!!

Normally I do a 30% water change on my cichlid tank on a monday but I am moving house next week so thought I wouldn't bother since it would get a 100% water change when I move!

Anyway.. I was browsing through the rocks in the tank, admiring my plec.. when I noticed an ickle baby cichlid! It's just swimming under these rocks where the big fishies can't get and keeps looking at me! Christ knows who the parents are!!! I don't know why but I feel so great! I think it is because it was such a surprise!!

Just the one problem.... moving house  Eek!!

I'm over the moon!

BTW! Nobody ask for pictures because the fry is far too small for piccys with my crappy camera!

:drinks: Nice one Timmy, too small for an id yet i take it?

Congrats it's a great feeling when you first see them. I've still got the 4 tiny labs in my tank, now they swim with the big fish. :)

Well unless you fancy dismantling everything and trying to catch them, and you've got a fry tank ready.....no. Just let nature take it's course. As I said I saw 4 tiny tiddlers in my tank and now they are big enough to swim without getting eaten. So there is a chance they or some of them will survive.

So what's the plan of action...how you going to move all those tanks and fish?

Yeah, good question!! LOL!

Well, basically i'm moving out of my parents house into a little one-bedroom place up the road.. so it's not like there is any massive hurry to move in one go.
I'm hoping to get the keys this weekend and will probably move one tank a day (after work). Starting with the Cichlid tank as it's the biggest.. then the Marine.. then the 2 tropicals and i'm giving the coldwater tank to my parents!

You'll laugh at this but i'm not having a bedroom! I'm sleeping on the couch/sofa and turning the bedroom into a fish tank room (now that's love!)

So, moving one tank a day after work shouldn't be too bad! My dad has just said that I should leave the cichlid tank here until the fry grow bigger so their easier to see/catch during the move.. but no way! I want to watch their development! :D
