Yippeeee! Glad the poor little fella is recovering.

Oh me too, I would be devastated if I lost him, especially since i feel responsible for the whole ordeal! He's been pretty active today, and he makes faces at me lol

Thank you everyone for your help in this situation. I finally refilled the tank to normal level as Ice has come out of his depression, and is now acting like himself. His fins are still a little tattered, but they are healing. Thank you again!!!

He may have also had some gill damage that you could not see that has taken him a little bit to get over. My betta, Mongrel, is a right loony pig of a fish and is always getting his betta pellets stuck in his gills and mopes like that for a few days before returning to normal. I am so glad he has recovered so nicely, those tank dividers are quite dodgy in my opinion.

No joke. I know quite a few betta keepers on here have used them without any incident. That's why I didn't think anything of it. maybe I didn't have it seated properly? All I know is, I am scared to use it again. But it's over and my little boy is back being a happy betta....he's been blowin bubbles for me

Mongrel does this funny little dance where he comes to the front of the tank and does a floppy wiggle and then a full frontal flare then blows five or six bubbles and then darts away...making the bubbles trail him...straight to where he can see his can of betta pellets next to his tank! ! It cracks me up every time! I have lost two bettas to those dodgy dividers, my lfs says they never seat properly unless you install them in a new dry tank, and then fill it with water. But with slimy algae walls, forget it.

Both of my bettas are back to their normal happy selves, and doing very well. They build nice bubble nests for me.
