That is just :hyper: All I can say is that you are all bad influences by posting pictures of such pretty creatures.

I've been and bought a tank so I can have a betta for the first time in 2 years - unfortunately we don't have such pretty ones like that here, although the lfs had a lovely blue/purple one, but tank won't be ready for him before he gets snapped up probably. *sniff*

Any sites that you recommend? The only site I have really looked at for fish only has your VT blue and red.

KG Bettas is a really good source - just checked and they have none for sale at the moment.

Its where I bought 'Chewie' from - a truly stunning Black CT with neon blue based fins with black tips.

He really was something special.
RIP :(

Can only find one photo of him, which doesn't do him justice. - I will pop it on here once I work out how LOL

Ok heres goes...

Thanks for that I will add them to my favourites and check it out in a few days see if they have any up.

Chewie sounds like something I would snap up!

Cool - piccy worked, as I say doesnt do him justice.
The blue was really incredible!

RIP Chewie...

He is wonderful! Makes my bettas look like I don't know it makes my bettas look like not pretty.lol he is beautiful!

Thankfully he did just die of old age....

He was the most spoiled Betta ever - he started off in an 8 gallon hex on his own and ended up in a 33g (with some cory cats) that we bought for him so he could 'explore a bit more'
hahaha

Died just before his 4th birthday (which I am told is above average)

I am going to get another one one day soon - I have a 10g which I am going to plant up for the new occupant.
Cant wait :hyper: they have a wonderful personality that you just dont seem to get with most other fish.

I use to have a brilliant red one called Gandy, and he loved the huge tank that I had him in, I was lucky enough to get away with having pretty much any other fish I wanted in the tank (including all manners of bright coloured fish) and it was only ever me that he flared at - I guess that makes me special!

I was just going to stick with my goldies, but actually joining this forum rather than just reading the odd post has drawn me back into wanting a new Gandy. The tank is just cycling at the moment, but I have a nice piece of bog wood in there (that has a spooky face on it, didn't realise until I had it soaking and I peered in the bucket!) and I just need to get some plants to put in the tank, I want a real pretty little tank if I can get away with it, I guess time will only tell.

Well I am off to bed, thanks for the link (hopefully their two month sabbatical is nearly over and not just started!), and I'm glad you got nearly four years of a beautiful Betta.

Yeah hes expensive, but I think totally worth it!! And just wait till I get babies!! Here's the girl I'll be breeding him to hopefully
