Does anyone have pictures of older betta fry, where their fins have some color, they have the 2 dark stripes, but all look like females still. All pictures online are of very young fry with no color, or fry who look like mini adults with medium fins and you can tell male from female, but no in between pictures available.

Here are some that StrontiumDog took of older betta fry. Well, they aren't that old, but aren't colorless fry either.

Look at the fourth post from the top, and then the fourth to last post. There are also some other pictures scattered around in the other pages of that thread.

(EDIT: To add the adjective, "Older" and to move sentences around)

Ok, now from the last picture, is there a way to tell male from female, or not? That was a big help.

Hello Keith, I have just seen some of the recent photos of your young fish and I am almost certain you have a male now, that anal fin is huge! looks like it will turn into a veiltail eventually and the colour is most likely likely to be red or blue or a mixture of the two, I have bred bettas for 2 years now and it is not very easy to sex them when they are so young especially not plakats! but the longer tail types are usually easier, I have many photos of the young fish I have bred in the past but none are really that young so they won't really help but I would say young males usually show longer anal and ventral fins at an early age where as the females will stay short.

You read my mind why I was asking for photos ha ha. :) My fish under the gills has gotten dark red & blue, I guess the start of a beard? My female is drab under her gills, so for this fish to be so bright i'm pretty sure your right. It;s also getting dark blue on the fins all over and more color, so who knows, sometimes even young adult bettas can still change color again like some marbles!
