Not too long ago I started a thread about keeping older, bigger female bettas with new, young ones. Everyone said it should be fine.. My old bettas have never really been that aggresive. So, I went out and bought three new female bettas that were sitting in those tiny cups at a Petsupermarket. Anyway.. I got them home, made sure the temp was okay for them and put them in there along with the 2 olders ones. (I did take the two older ones out and rearranged the whole tank) There has been some chasing and one has got a bit of her lower fin nipped at. Is this okay? The new ones all have a lot of stress stripes. If they don't go away, what should I do? I added a bit of aquarium salt to the tank to relieve some of the stress. Any other suggestions?

TIA :good:

Because their smaller and newer there will always be fighting as soon as you introduce a new female just like trying to be top of the lot like lions would do as it seems to be the larger females that tend to be the dominant ones but if fighting is very serious take out the smaller ones as if you take the bigger ones out the new ones will start fighting for a new place at top hope this helped :good:

EDIT:spelling
