I have a really old guppy that I think has gone blind, she runs into things and seems to aimlessly hunt for food when she smells it, but doesn't go directly at it. She is also very very skinny. I have her and a bunch of other fish in a 55 gallon tank, and I think she would do best i a small tank where she doesn't have buch surface area to hunt for food and no comeptition, if to at least gever her a peaceful death. (she has males constantly after her but she hasnt gotten pregnant in 2 months) The only thing is I dont have a filter or air pump for my 1.5 gallon tank, (possibly 2 gallon) hust a heater. How often should I aerate it myself? (Switching water/ shaking tank water up in a jar) so she has enough oxygen? She is about and inch and a half long.

Thank you in advance!

You should switch the water every day, but not for aeration, unless you sit next to the tank 24/7 and constantly shake jars of water, your stuck, and even that wouldn't be much use. Sorry.

You should et a small air pump and sponge filter, would cost around £10 ere, so probably around $10 where you are.
Although personally, if the fish is that bad, I would question letting it go on...
An adult female guppy in a 1.5gal is hardly going to have a great quality of life, especially in that condition.

So are you basically saying I should kill her? I don't know if I can do that. I feel really bad for her, I guess I'll have to get a air bubbler, or just try to make sure she gets enonugh food every day in the tank she is in now.
