Old Airstone

I have an airstone in my 29g I thought the fish might need more air do to heat but every time i run the airstone
it looks like there's little particles of something floating all over the water upon closer inspection my airstone looks
to have deteriorated having little dips missing out of it. Could these be airstone particles floating all over or am i just paranoid and my aquarium is just beeing stirred up. Either way my aquarium looks much nicer without it but I dont want to stress the fish

Can you scoop them up, or are they air bubbles. I have replaced my airstone once over two years due to buildup and falling apart from use.

What is your tanks temp?

Tank Temp 83 I know thats a little high Im planning on installing an air conditioner, and i know they are not air bubbles they are little particles and the only explanation i can think of would be the airstone

did your airstone put particles all over in your tank water?

No, but they don't cost much, you can just replace it.
