SO I have a neocardina shrimp tank that has netrite snails and that's it.... yesterday my kids found 4 eggs on the glass.... none of the shrimp are / were berried and from my understanding the netrite snails won't reproduce in the temp/freshwater they're in... where the heck did these eggs come from????

The shrimp don’t lay eggs so it has to be a snail. Do you have a hitchhiker in there by chance?

Most likely the nerites. Nerite snails will lay eggs in freshwater, but the eggs won't hatch.

Nerites will still lay eggs in freshwater but they will not hatch.

Nerite eggs are flat and bright white and very very hard to get off things.

no hitchhikers.... I've been clean for at least 3 weeks on them...

Oh didn't know about the Nerites still laying eggs in the freshwater.. The eggs are flat, bright white and VERY difficult to remove... I just added a new nerite about a week ago, and I've caught both nerites on top of each other very often in the last week...
