see, I had all these wonderful Ideas for the new 40 gallon Hex i'm going to be getting.
Basically, it's the only tank i'm allowed to get, as it's 30 inches by 18 inches, so it fits my dresser.
(2 1/2 feet long by 1 1/2 feet wide).

But my first idea was scraped about roselines. Apparently they need a group of 6 for full comfort, despite where anywhere else says, and a bigger tank.

Also, i need 6 more inches on the tank to get a Senegal Bichir...

So what do I do? I mean...

One idea that's pheasable is to do...
2x Angel Fish, 2x German blue ram, 4x khuli Loach, and perhaps some cardinal tetras, as they don't seem as fin nippy as the Neons. Also, wondering if Glow light tetras are that fin nippy either?

and i could put a raphael catfish in, but then i can't get the tetras, as he's a night hunter...who, eventually, will fit them in his mouth...

The rams aren't a big great want, but they'd seem nice and fit in. Any possible hints or ideas that i could go google and look up for cool fish? I hear clown loaches will get too big eventually also (sigh.)

Need your input! thanks!

I know a lot of people may say a sorority tank of Bettas lol. But um lets see... You could maybe get some small Plecos like Bristlenoses or something ... lol

Indeed. I hear a lot of "Get a buncha female bettas" and stuff from people, followed by "lolz".
Not to intesnly intrested by that.

The plecos idea is intresting, but i'm not too into paying $50 per pleco on specialties....
I will, however, buy a common one for $3, let it grow big, and then sell it when it starts getting too too big for $28 to My LFS, and get another $3 pleco with that money, along with some other supplies/fishies.

Oh. I've heard a lot about eels like firemouths. I need to google those, although probably too big

Bristlenose plecos don't cost a lot, and only grow to about 5 or maybe 6 inches. I just got one for under $8.

OH, really? That sounds nice. Hmmmmm..... :hyper: if only the cosmo plecs were that much!

Now then, any other suggustions? comments on my own plans. So forth?
