I got these tree frogs that were in the paper for Christmas (white lipped from what I could find in a book, the people didn't even know what kind they were) and they were feeding them strictly crickets. Well the crickets they gave me with the frogs died about two days later, and so I got mealworms and nightcrawlers. The problem is, they aren't eating them, I don't think they've eaten anything in a long while, and I can't get any more crickets because the only place that carries them is too far away for us to be able to drive to now that my moms laid off. I don't understand, I never had this problem with my whites tree frog, he'd eat anything that moved. Are these guys slow or something?

I'm this close to just selling them or giving them away, because I feel rotten in they're starving but I can't get them to eat!!!!

Well you could keep trying, or you could get the mealwoms to pupate into the darkling beetles, and maybe they'd eat them thinking it was crickets?

Or you could always mail order crickets.

Hi Ninja surf;
I have regular tree frogs and mine will not touch worms.
They seem to only eat crickets.
You can't get anymore crickets?
You also need to feed the cricket (to gotload them) before feeding them
Frogs in the winter seasons seem to slowdown, but should still be eating about every couple days.
White's tree frogs are way less pickier than white lipped treefrogs.
Also maybe if you spritz them with a appetite enhancer that might help.
That seemed to help one of mine that decided to stop eating once.
Good luck, don't give up!
Like I said earlier, white tree frogs are often adviced for the beginner, and you are probably used to him/her eating anything, white lipped are a little more picker.
And they might be a little stressed from the move :thumbs:

Thanks guys. I'll try to get the mealworms to pupate till I can figure something out.
