OK, What the hell is this???

Ok, ive replanted a few of my plants lately and this is what ive found. I have sand substrate and i fertilize. They all grow well but still, this is weird.

Is it not your plant beginning to reproduce, going to send up new shoots soon ..? sure someone will help soon . pebbs

well, i read in my biology book that bacteria gathers on roots of some plants to help it convert stuff or something like that. this was a while back, so i cant remember all of it

Thats given me a couple of ideas to look into today. It doesnt seem to be affecting my plants though.

Does any one else with a sand substrate have this on their plant roots?
