Now one of the Platy's has ich...
Went to LFS first thing this morning and they said to treat the tank with Myxazin first as the ich isnt as important as the scale loss thing? I've been adding Pimafix for body rot...so i will have to wait 48hrs to add the myxazin.
The water quality i have been miticulous about and its been double 0's for 2 days now without a w/c. So i know the mini cycle is over.

I also bought some Stress Coat+. and added 10ml, As he said the fish are stressed with all the waterchanges recently.??????????

whats going on?

If you want to treat now, do a 100% water change with temperature and water parameter matched water, then you don't have to wait 48 hours and in practice, even if you waited 48 hours, you should still do a 90-95% water change before switching medications unless you use carbon to remove the medications, which would probably take over 48 hours anyway.

Stress Coat is a dechlorinator, it doesn't do much more than remove chlorine and chloramine, deal with ammonia and smell nice. Water changes should be a lot less stressful than diseases or poor water quality. In fact, as long as you match water parameters and poor the new water in carefully, water change should not be any more stressful than you walking past the tank.

Personally, I would consider whitespot to be more of a problem than scale loss because if only one fish is showing symptoms, it should be possible to get rid of it in as little as 2 days or so. On the other hand, if it spreads, it could take weeks.

thanks..thats what i thought..but wanted to be sure.Is the waterlife proxazin Or watever its called good? which is the best meds for ich?

If you want waterlife's whitespot med, it's protozin.
I use king british original formula ws3.

I don't know about that one; I used Sera's Protazol which worked well. I've heard that most work fine as they're basically just malachite green, although some also contain salt (I see this as a downside).

Do treat alongside a temperature increase, I also recommend that you read what I said in my display tank log (see signature). Sorry, I can't copy/paste of link because my internet is very unreliable right now :(

http://aquarium-log.blogspot.com/2011/04/blue-rams-and-ich.html#!/2011/04/blue-rams-and-ich.html and http://aquarium-log.blogspot.com/2011/04/ich-treatment-goes-on.html#!/2011/04/ich-treatment-goes-on.html , although there isn't actually that much in there other than "do large water changes before and between treatments, and do treat once more even if you can't see any spots".

well a few have it now...i did a HUGE w/c last night and did 3 sand vac's as they kept pooping grrr.
The NitrAte test this morning smelt strongly of Peroxide??? is this normal when adding Protozin?

Mine didn't smell of peroxide, but I'll give the bottle a sniff when I get home, just to check..

not the protozin itself...the nitrAte test (salifert one) after adding reagent? The water smells ok before? odd...very odd
