Ok, Help Me Out!

I am getting a tank similar to the Arcadia 35L soon.

Getting either 4 khuli loachs or a Betta.

I think I will go with the loachs though, there amazing.


So, Is the light that comes with the Arcadia ok for plants?

Im going to use sand as substrate as i know that the loachs somtimes dig so i will do it quite deep.

i wanta variety of bushy plants.

so how do i do it?

what lighting comes with it? it should be okay, but it all down to the WPG

will you be dosing ferts and CO2? homemade co2 or pressurized?

as for plants, i think some camboba and some water wisteria would be nice! you could get some noce wood and cover it in xmas moss, or make a HC carpet in the tank!

also, i think 4 kuhli loaches in a 35 is on the small side, i think they needed around 20gallons? i might be wrong ^^

WPG "rule" doesnt work on tanks this small.


11W is fine for low-light beginner plants. Another 11W of light, combined with NPK+trace nutrients and CO2 (gas injected or liquid) will allow you to grow most plants.

if the lighting doesnt matter then you should be okay

just read your other post about being unsure if you see them, i would say a SUPER oddball would be a dwarf puffer; they are fantastic!
