to cut a long story short i just looked at my tank and in the divided bit [where my male was] was my female! =[

shes in a pretty bad way, her fins have chunks out of them and shes feeling sorry for herself, there are white patches on her like scales are missing! and some scales seem put of place =[

i can't do anything until tuesday either

for now she is in my breeder so i can keep an eye on her

if she needs her own tank let me know and i ay be able to sort something out....

bah i knew Flower would do something like this she's too inquisitive!

on the minor plus side she was nice and gravid without any stress lines....

im worried now =[

Hi
What ever you do dont put her in a tank with other fish as they'll probably pick on her and stress her out, particularly other female bettas. If she has scale damage, it may be worth using a background med like Myxacin.

If it was mine i'd isolate in another tank and treat with Myxacin and a touch of aquarium salt. Damaged or missing scales are a prime target for infection to set in, so its really important to keep her water really clean.

How did she get through, under, over the divider?

Oh that happened to my boys once :( Ramjet snuck into Pinkys side and all hell broke loose. Now Ramjet does rings around the divder to show me where holes are when i went to redivide the tank :( like what Brozecat said, keep her water as clean as you can. It took a few months for Ramjet to recover and get his fins back but he is healthy and lively today. Keeping her seperated. We used melafix for ours. But if she has scales missing definantly treat her asap.

she has perked up a little though, shes in a breeding trap right now, but if i were to put her on her own tank it would have to be my 3 gallon with my boy Rocket moving into the breeder for now

she managed to jump over =[

when i had teh problems with her picking on the other females i put her in the breeder and the cheeky thing kept on jumping out...i didn't think that she would be silly enough to jump into the side of a male!

I'll pick up some myxacin when i go for my job interview on tuesday....
