How bad am I as a fishy mummy??

sweeping the floor by my tank I found a dead dried dannio!!!

it must have jumped out when I last fiddled with the gubbins!

ooooh dear.

lesson learned.

Yes i've had that happen to me a couple of times not nice, but don't blame yourself it happens, there that little you don't notice unless a big massive fish jumps out, i tend to be very gentle now when in the tank around skittish fish.

Sorry to hear about your fish. Danios sure can jump. I've lost fish due to jumping as well and it's sad because it seems like such a preventable occurence. Hopefully it'll just be a freak accident and won't happen regularly! Keep those lids tight!

i once moved some guppies from one tank to another and used a plastic bowl to float them in the new tank to match the temp.

came bak to the bowl and there was nothing in there!!

looked in the tank and i could see 2 of the 3 guppies and jus thought the other was hiding cos of the shock of bein moved.



found her behind the tank the next morning.

was really pissed off cos i soo should of checked better


the opening of the bowl was 80% covered too as i tucked it under the end of the tank and the glass support. thats why i didnt think theyd jump!
