I was just about to ask why my preggo plattie hasn't had her fry yet and I looked at her and she wasn't fat anymore. I thought, hmmm, that's strange. I looked under my java moss and there's a little plattie looking fry. Yippee :D :D :D

I'm going to remove mum and see how many babies there are.

Will they be safe under the java moss. They're pretty tiny compared to my molly fry!!

Oh. I am so happy. I'm a fishy mum twice now. This is new and very exiciting
:D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D  :fun: :p ;) :hey: B) :D :D :D

just a question, now that I think about it.
Can or will my little 1" pleco eat the fry?
WIll my harliquin hunt them down in the java moss?
How long will it be before they're about 1/2" long. they're new born today I think.

Thankyou for your advice.
Still very very happy :D

:D Congratulations on the fry!

:) I have two platy fry in with Tetras and they don't harm them. One of them was really tiny when I found her swimming in the tank and a week later I caught her sister which was twice her size! :hyper:

ok. I just realised, looking closely, how tiny these fry really are.
I've seen a few scurring around, but not sure how many yet.
I've taken out all the adult fish and now there's just 2 molly fry - 1/2" long - the new born plattie fry and my 1" pleco. Is this ok. Is the pleco gonna eat the fry? I don't really wanna put him in my big tank cause I'll never see him again or catch him.

Do I need to feed them with the java moss in there? Is this enough natural food for them or should I still feed them crumbled flakes?
