its a 37 gallon Tall tank 2 feet wide 30 something inches tall. Spare tank, needs to be set up per the misses request

Ide like to use a sand bottom, and plant it heavily, using a lot of rock wall and moss.

I actually have a really small german blue ram right now no bigger then a tetra i really like him (i think its a him) how many can i have in that tank? Mind you, i dont want the max number i want a happy number for them based on the space.

Theres only one issue. I have this chinese algae eater, that has been around forever when i got him he was not but an inch and a half long, nows hes pushing 6. yes 6. not 5. 6. hes, huge. and i refuse to give him up. he never hassles any of my other fish unless they try to sneak into his home. and even then he just gives em a chase, no nipping or anything, he used to be in with a gouramie and people told me to be cautious about the slime coat issue, and never did i see him chompin on em.

It dosnt have to be german rams either,

I guess what i should have said was

"I need a complete biotope idea for a a 37 gallon tall" bottom feeders, cichlids, shoalers at the top"

Any idea is a welcome idea. I'm pretty new to cichlid keeping.

Hi,
soo, does the stocking have to include the CAE? I didn't quite understand that bit,
I'm guessing that the depth is going to be 12 inches then? 24x12x30 = 37Gallons ?

If the stocking didn't include the CAE I would go for a SA themed biotope with sand, bogwood, tall amazon swords, java fern, moss covered rocks etc, with a stocking of

2 Angels
2 Rams
10 black neons
5 corydoras
5 otocinclus

Yes those are the tank dimensions, and the CAE is a package deal, hes been around since day one, and not only will no one take him back (not many LFS will take a CAE this mature!) but hes become rather a fixture, hes in a pals tank right now while mine are being moved and whatnot and even my friend has said hes been docile and calm with his fish (not sure who he has him housed up with though)

And i dont particularly want angels in this tank, i have several other tanks with very very large angels and even a breeding pair.
