I have a 250ltr tank which, has been set up now for over 6 months, planted with community fish.
I have a problem with a sick Honey Gourami, she has been very lethargic for the past week or so. I have noticed that she has a block spot on her underside, below her gills which, has been getting bigger. Started off it just looked like a lump then, a block spot appeared which, has grown over the past couple of days. Today it looked as if something was coming out? I removed her from the tank, place her in A&E to take a closer look. Rightly or wrongly as it was protruding I took a cotton bud and wiped it, it seems like a poo substance?
I don't think she is going to survive but, am curious and concerned if it is something contagious? Can anyone give me any ideas on this?
