My SFF has been displaying quite odd behaviour in the last few days.

Let me give you his background story. I had to move him from my big tank to my little tank, as he had started getting bullied by the Cardinal Tetras. Fast forward a few weeks, and the female Limia Tridens started bullying him as well. To avoid this, he started hiding in the plants. At that point, I had had a problem in the big tank, resulting in the loss of all bar one of my Cardinals & a guppy (I had accidentally left the filter off for a week), so I didn't want to move the SFF back, because I wanted to let the big tank stablise again. Having left it a couple of weeks, I have now moved the 3 Limia into the big tank, and replaced them with some Peacock Gobies.

There don't seem to be any compatibility issues with between the Peacocks and the SFF, but the SFF is trying to wedge himself in between two parts of the filter impeller.

The tank is an AquaOne, with the inbuilt overhead filter. The impeller has the part which twists and locks it into the hood, and also the filter inlet tube, and the SFF is trying to wedge himself in between these two parts, sitting on top of the impeller body.

I was observing him closely last night at feeding time, it took him quite a while to realise that the food was there, and whilst he did take some food, he seemed to be less interested than usual.

Do you think he's just using the impeller as a resting place, or is it more serious?
