ok their not sick or anything its just they are all trying to breed at the same time its really wierd. my little sister has a betta and she needed to get her tank clean so i put him in my tank with just platy and 2 guppy and now all my other fish are trying to mate with eachother at the same time? is it like breeding season or something and i just dont know about it? or is this normal?

and what does it mean when a betta like flashes i guess you could say all his fins even his neck fin?

Livebearers will try to mate with anything. I put a Molly in my Goldfish barrel for the summer, knowing it's warm enough for the Molly and still okay for teh goldfish as well, and my Molly is trying to mate with the Goldfish.

When a male betta 'poofs' all his fins out that way, he's flaring. It means he's cross basically, hope this helps.

yep hes cross, they use this technique to warn other fish away esp fish that have largish fins, try not to keep him in there for to long though. :good:
