Hi people,

Can anyone tell me how long is it best to sock ocean rock for befor it is ok to put in the tank..? :good: :good:

Don't really need to soak it, just give it a good rinse to remove any dust.

Cheers Stang1... :good:

Tank comes friday morning and i got everything else here with me ready to go....cant wait to set it up and looking nice...how safe is it to buy fish from ebay from the so called breeders...? :good:

Not long now then!
I've never used E-bay to buy fish, only ever get them from where I work. It'd be woth looking at some of the breeders feedback and get a good idea of what they are like.

have a look at this link see what you think mate..

www.tonysafricancichlids.co.uk

:good:

Doesn't look like too bad a site and he's got some really nice fish there.
If you are able to visit in person, you'll get a better idea of quality.

I need to find somewhere i can trust as im not sure what can go with what and dont want to have to get rid of any... :good:

what are these fish like for getting on with other cichlids..?

AUL MAYLANDI
CYNOTILAPIA CHINYANKWAZI

Depends on whether you choose to keep Peacocks with Malawi. A lot of people recommend keeping them seperate although others have said they have had no problems. Tough call to make and might be worth getting a few opinions on whether to mix the two.

Hope someone can help you on the Peacock/malawi mix. I just stuck with the one type as I pretty much knew what I wanted in there from the start. If I set one up again, I'd be tempted to go for a Peacock tank.
