I dont know what happened when I left for school he was fine but know he is just kinda lying at the bottom of the tank, barely breathing, I will put him in a cup so he wont give anything to the other fish, if he has anything. If not it was fun for a while, and I think I should get a female Betta cause my other fish liked to nip at his fins so maybe!!!!!!!
:-(

Im sorry. :( But can I ask you please please please dont put him in a cup! The pet stores have nice 1 gallon tanks for 5-10 bucks comes with undergravel air filter. Its not the best, but it makes for a nice hospital tank. Are you gonna treat him with anything? :/ Is he really sick? Or just hanging out? Cause mine sometimes go into lazy mode and lay at the bottom. Just wondering. -_- Good luck and sorry again. BTW, Females are great if thats where you want to go next, and you can have more than one to a tank!

He may just be comfortable in his new surroundings, bettas are air breathers so he really doesn't have to have constant gill movement like your other fish,I'm sure you'll notice him take an occasional trip to the surface for a gulp of air and also notice the bubbles he blows, my betta also lays on the gravel almost on his side but that's how he naps so whatever you do leave him in the tank , a cup would not only be traumatizing after having all that tank space to swim in (if he came in a cup he's more than likely never had so much excersize in his life) but it's not good for fish after being in a filtered tank

Hope he's ok

YYYYYYYYYYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYY

I thought he was dead so I put him in my Baby Breather and he takes it really good. But now he acts fine, as if nothing happened, but the reason I have him in there is because I am baby sitting someones fish untill they get back, from their honeymoon, and its a Tetra and he likes to nip at his fins so I am giving him a little brake for now, and then I am putting that darn Tetra in the Baby Breather, and letting my Betta out so he can roam around my 30 Gallon Tank. YAYAYYA I am so happy he is alive!!!

Good idea, the tetra will be fine in a breeder for a few days and it won't stop nipping either so don't even give it a second chance

I'm glad you kept him in the tank
