I have a few of these in my tank that were absolutely thriving up until recently.
Now they have died back to just the bulb, is that a normal part of their life cycle?

Water parameters are fine, and I give a regular dose of liquid ferts.....

aaron this happened to mine after about 7 months so im interested in what you think
scot :good:

They have been in the tank about 5 months.
The first 4 months they were rampant, but its over this past month that they have retreated....

I am not totally sure but they can go through a phase like crypt rot, only this takes longer, maybe someone else can help a bit more...

Nymphea species go through dormant periods. Leave them be and you should see new shots eventually.

Ah hahh... :good:

Sould I leave them submersed while they are dormant?
