Sorry to be asking all these questions. I just connected a Nutrafin CO2 diffuser in my tank (about 6 hours ago). I used the packets that were included, my thoughts were to use what was given then switch over to the method pinned. I ended up getting a few bubbles within an hour or two, once I saw them, and further reading, I decided to add a check valve to prevent any issues down the line. I had a spare one that I used on a air pump that is no longer being used. But Now I have noticed that I am not getting any more bubbles but instead it looks like water is slowly starting to be sucked up the tube instead. Is this a sign that the packet is bad/and done fermenting? or is there an issue using my check valve (is that the right type of check valvue?). Any help would be great.

I gave there packet a little bit more time to work and I would get a single bubble every minuet and a half to 2. Went out and brought some yeast today and within 10 mins, I am now getting 1 bubble about every 7 seconds, so it is a great improvement! Another side question is, once the bubble reaches the top of the ladder is it supposed to stay there? At the moment it reaches the top and after maybe a second, it pops out and floats to the top. Is this normal?

Well I might have been to anxious with it. I ended up replacing the light, at the same time, I turned the light on, and now the bubbles are hardly reaching the top ladder, they shrink as they go up to allmost nothing. So guess thats a good sign that things are finally working the way they should! Thanks for the help
