Hi all,
Recently bought a Hagen Nutrafin CO2 kit (the one with the sugar canister) and included in the box was a packet of these
http
/www.hagen.com/uk/aquatic/product.cf...=01076880030101
These are sticks you insert under the plant, and they release nutrients over a year. Sounds very handy.
However the back of the packet said nothing about how many to use per size of Aquarium only to "insert one under the root system of each plant", so I merrily pushed all six into the sand
) My rational being that there are a LOT of plants in the tank, there is now CO2 so hopefully it should all get used up as well as the nutrients.
I am of course totally paranoid so trundelled off to the website and found that the page said "Only one a year required"
Swearing gently to myself I fired off a question to their customer support (and hats off to them had an answer the next day) quoting the website, and that one is required per year.
My questions for you lot are
1. I reckon I've got to dig out five of the sticks now haven't I
)
2. Do you have any experience of these?
3. If they give six in a packet and its one a year how the hell do they sell enough to make it a viable product?
4. If it truly is only one whatever size of tank, isn't the lack of it saying this on the packet pretty damn bad? Or do you reckon the website is wrong and the support person quoting it.
So either the packet or the website is wrong it seems, so if any of you have used these in your tank before, I'd appreciate a comment
I haven't copied down the nutrients listed on the packet, although I guess that would help one of you who is in the know determine how many per tank size....
TIA
