Nutrafin Mini Master Test Kit

I was just wondering if the Nutrafin Mini Master Test Kit is any good? It seems to be the only test kit that my LPS has and my LFS doesn't have any! I want to buy the best thing for my future fish when I get paid (whenever that may be). Any comments, good or bad, are greatly appreciated!

That is the kit I use and i've never had any problems. No test kits are fool-proof by any means, but the general feeling here on TFF seems to be that Nutrafin and API are amongst the most reliable.

Also, make sure you get a liquid reagent based kit, not dip-strips or tablets, as these are known to be inaccurate.

edit: for the avoidance of doubt, the kit you asked about is liquid re-agent based and is fine. I added that comment in case you look at other kits too.

I have a Mini-Master that has been used twice, so there are plenty of tests left. I use API now so it is sitting there not being used. It's about 5 months old.

That's the test kit I use, I find it simple enough to understand and use.
Oh, I recently found out that the test tubes aren't shatterproof but don't worry it comes with 2

Just commenting on my experience with it. I purchased this one a couple of months ago and I've never had a reading for nitrate or nitrite. No reaction ever happend. I don't know what was wrong with it, I followed all the directions to a t. I need to take it back. The bottles are also very small.

I purchased the API kit today and it works a treat.

I'd imagine so. It had probably been on the shelf for 5 years!! T'was only a little store. I hopefully won't have a problem with a refund.
