Hi,
I was wondering if there is a benefit in using one vs the other. I went to my lfs and got everything i need to set up DIY CO2 kit (airline tubing, T connector, airstone etc) and i also have 2 Nutrafin Co2 Defussers brand new in a box. I read a lot on forums and still cant decide whats better, also is there a benefit to Nutrafin ladder vs airstone. I just planted my tank and are few very young plants . I upgraded my light to Corallife 65W 50/50 for my 29Gal.
I do have 2 HOP filters running so i have tooo much oxigen in the tank atm (plus an ENEIM 2213). Im using liquid ferilizer by API. I dont think i need any nitrates cause my tank is heavy stocked and my nitrates are steady 40. My plants are currently in the middle of the tank and if i hang a defusser or set and airstone do i need to move my plants closer to CO2 source ?
PS: Sorry to start every sentence with "I"

Thanks in advance.

Theyre both the same thing only DIY is cheaper. You end up using the same mix anyway. Also you cant put it through an air stone, use a ceramic nano diffuser or the ladder.

Thanks i went with Nutrafin Difusser with ladder. I might add the second one once i have more plants.

You need to replace the HOB filters with something else. Any CO2 you add will be removed by those filters. Other than that I agree with the above.
