My chill-out room where my Aqua 510 is located usually has a temp between 18-22degrees (dependant on weather) and I think because of this low temp, I am hardly getting any Co2 production unless I sit the unit on top of the light heat vents on top of my tank.
Now thats great for Co2 production, but horrible in the looks department.

It is the coldest room in the house due to 2 outside walls and with the radiator up full. (this doesnt cause any problems inside tank with varying temps and to be honest I prefer a cooler house than a hot one)

Can anyone think of anyway to get better Co2 production with the cannister under my tank in the cabinet? Currently using replacement contents bought off ebay, but will get yeast etc from tesco or asda when this runs out.

p.s. I cant really affords any different kit, so need to use what I have.

Heat it up with something else - have you got other kit that gets warm?

DC mains units, lighting ballasts, whatever...

Thanks for the reply, only problem I have is, that room gets shut down during the day, because we are out working. So there is nothing that gets/keeps a heat.

Anyone else help ?

....erm, if you are out, then who cares what it looks like?

Other than pointing out more obvious things like insulate the container in styrofoam container to keep it warm....

Or if your filter or lights or UV or heater have a transformer plug sit it on top of that

I would try the DIY method (adding warm water to kick it off in the first place) and see what difference that makes first. My proper kit wasn't working much at all in my tank, so i swapped it to the home brew kit and its much much better. The DIY is not just cheaper, its more effective IMHO..
