Hi guys, im new here.
I just recently purchased NUTRAFIN CO2 System, Set up with those Activator and Stabilizer packs but they didnt work for some reason... Probably expired, So ive done as suggested in other topics to add 1/2 tbs of Yest and 1 tbs of Baking Soda... 1 hour later i started to get some bubbles up the ladder but 2 hours working time i only get like 1 bubble every 3-5 min is that normal? Will it normalize to get more bubbles or em i doing somth wrong?

Cheers,
Sergey

hi & welcome,

the nutrafin yeast/ stabiliser are crap, just chuck them. Baking soda is only needed if you have a kh les than 4 because co2 is acidic therefore it will lower ph but a low kh will make the ph drop very quickly.

The yeast must of tired out if you only get 1bubble every 3/5 min, try adding more yeast next time like 1 tsp

Hi Thanks for fast reply,
Can i just open canister and add more yeast? or i need to start from beginning? by the wat 1tsp
= 1 table spoon or 1 tea spoon?

Cheers !

and by the way... how often does the bubble needs to come out? ive placed the canister on top of my aquarium lamp just now and it seems to speed it up just a tiny bit like bubble every 2 min tho i think its still not right :(

ok i think there is progress now after placing the canister on top of the lightning hood, bubble every 24 sec :) is this any good or still not enough ?

teaspoon, amount of co2 needed depends on light, plants, and size of tank, i usually get 6BPM which is 1 every 10sec. As long as your co2 is 25-35ppm then it doesn't matter how much is coming out, measure your kh then refer to the co2 table in my sig, or get a drop checker for more accurate and constant results.
