yes this question is posted under a different title but wasn't getting any attention so here it goes...

I've been looking for the perfect plant for my aquarium for a while. My top choices were pennywort and jungle val. I guess they're both really popular because I couldn't find either. Finally I found some jungle val but it was beaten up, yellow and pretty ravaged. I bought it anyway in desperation. Right now its about 3 inches tall. Will I be able to nurse it back to life so that it will grow healthily to the top of my tank? :flowers:

Yes it should recover if giving appropriate lighting and ferts. Co2 would also speed up growth.
Vallis loves water with a high KH. I had to throw mine out because it grew so quick and sent out so many plantlets. In a week it reduced my KH from 16 to 5!

I agree with RadaR. Vals are resilient plants. I'd like to add a little something though.
Add root tabs or pellet ferts around the roots. This should help as well.
I have thrown out tones of Vals myself.
