I only have 3 remaining swordtails left.....they are from my first ever batch of fry. There are 2 males and 1 female. I am thinking that I should give 1 male away....would the remaining 2 be ok together? I realise that the ratio of females should be higher than males but it will break my heart to let them all go. What should I do?

Are the males bugging the female too much? If they're all living peacefully and the males aren't constantly being macho at each other, why not keep them together? That being said I'm not a swordtail expert. Anybody else got any ideas?

Thats exactly what caused me to post this question......the males are harrassing her. She is pregnant too(only noticed harrassment since pregnancy though).....am stumped.....not sure what to do for the best.....I have loads of tanks and could separate them to be individuals.....but they should be in a group,no? I know a fair bit about alot of fish, but the livebearers throw me for six!!! Gotta love em! :)

Any other tank inhabitants?

I say that if she's pregnant and if you don't need the males, give both away. You will still get 6-8 new batches of fry and the female will be healthier and less likely to die before giving birth to other batches of fry.
