Looks perfectly healthy, been watching her for a while today and all of a sudden

Swam to the top

Spirralled down to the bottom

flipped over

layed on her side

shot/darted fast crashing into the side

Now swimming and acting normal again and swimming fine....

If you remember my other post aspec wilder? im worried this 1 will turn out the same way. Im thinking if i see her health deteriorate any more from now i should kill her myself?

A little more info with symptoms:
Fish looked healthy but darting around once or twice went to the top and swirled around right down to the bottom, landed on its side for 2 seconds then darted off. Colouring looks normal, maybe a tad and imean a tad pale. Fins are all intact (so far) with no noticable damage. Top of her head however looks bumpy and patchy in colour. Gills looks fine (so far). Also she will hover on the spot flapping away like normal then all of a sudden will stop flapping. Basically she looks fine for a while then all of a sudden she will be in a curved shape and do a quick dart around and look like shes finding it hard to breath. Ive isolated her and she is on her own right now. I think i will lose her so can anyone tell me the best way to kill her? hit her over the head hard? drop her in ice cold water then in the freezer? how?

Also here are my stats...
Api master kit test results(29/1/10) 2/3 days after a 30% water change:
Ammonia 0.25
Nitrate 20 or 30 (cant tell between the 2)
Nitrite 0
pH 7.6
High range pH 7.4

5/2/10 – 3 days after a 25% water change
Ammonia 0.25
Nitrate 20 or 30 (cant tell between the 2)
Nitrite 0
pH 7.6
High range pH 7.4

My filter is eheim ecco filter
temp 27c

All other fish seem ok and ive only lost 1 DG before (recently). So this will be my second DG which may i add came from the same LFS and were in the same tank in the store. I have 2 other DG which were from a different tank in the LFS.

Has the med caused the ammonia reading.

It's not sounding good i'm afraid. It sounds like you bought sick fish.Once bacterial infections advance there hard to cure.
You really need antibiotics in issolation, but only available in the uk from a vet.

What colour are the patches.
Is the bumpyness beneath the skin or on top.
Do the bumpy areas look hard or soft like filled with fluids.

Did the fish look abit on the skinny side when you bought them.

Fish looked spot on when i bought them.

I think i should invest in trying to import antibiotics for the future, can you do this?

Anyway...here is a pic of the bumps/patches on head...

Could she of got the bumps by swimming into the side of the tank? and into the rocks i have in the main tank?

Are the bumps black in colour.

I think it's illegal to buy antibiotics from another country. But you can buy them online.
If you do use antibiotics. I would only suggest using them in issolation.

Yes they are small black bumps on head.

Shes acting fine again now..

Seems to be a different problem to my other DG that died? what do you think?

The blackness to could be cell damage.Do the lumps look hard or soft like filled with fluid.

It could be a number of things, it hard to say.
Are you still treating the tank with the interpet med.

I cant tell if its soft lumps or not. sorry not much help.

I treated the whole tank with interpet internal bacteria treatment, did both doses and then a few days later she fell ill. Currently now in her isolated tank laying on the bottom on her side gasping for air. She jumped out the tank earlier today luckily i heard it and ran to the rescue.

Now i know she wont make it.

QUESTION:
Best way to kill her myself? put her out the pain.

Bless Her.

Jug of cold water, then add ice cubes till the water freezing cold. If no ice cubes add the jug to the freezer. Wait till a thin sheet of ice appears on top.

Place the fish in the jug, it shouldn't take long.
Make sure the gills are no longer moving.
The fish will twitch abit.
Leave the fish awhile in the jug just to make sure it's passed away.

So sorry.

Before i could do this, she died already. No movement at all. To make sure i wrapped her up and whacked her on the head. Physically she looked healthy apart from the black bumps/marks on head and slight discolouration. No fin rot or anything like that.

thanks

Bless her. R.I.P.

Water changes on main tank.
Keep a close eye on all the other fish in the tank.
If anymore changes get back to the board.

Black bumps can be black spot, tumours, tish tb.
Also black bumps beneath the skin can be flukes.
