OK the big mollies are doing better now the fry have something growing on them. It isn't ich. I know what that is now. I have dealt with that alot now. This Is like a white flat fur or something. Maybe a fungus? I am getting the 10 gal. ready for them now. I should have it ready by tomarrow. I have clout melafix and pimafix. Will one of those work? Do you use the same amount as with adults or do you cut it down? I have 6 mollie fry. 5 are about 1/2 in. 1 is about1/4 in. All seem to be affected. Not too bad yet though. I want to stop it before I lose them. This is the 6th litter and that is all I have managed to save. I seem to have horrible luck with mollies. It is the only fish I have ever had trouble with, and I just can't get them to stop getting sick. It is always something. Thanks to you all I am learning now. Please help me save the babies. They are so cute.

Lights went out today for several hours. My fry are not happy and the white stuff looks worse. Some one please tell me if one of these meds might work and how much to use. It looks like the cottony stuff.

The water is brackish. 1 rounded tbl. spoon per 5 gal. on all three tanks. They are in the 10 gal. nitrites are 0. nitrates are about 5. soft water. alkalinity is about 140. ph is about 7.2. temp is 79. There is just the 6 fry in there right now. At the moment it looks like the beginning. It looks extremely faded. Almost white.(They are dark colored) It doesn't look raised yet, but I can't really tell. They won't be still long enough for me to get a good look.

OK I got the flash light and inspected them again. Some of it is getting fluffy and some of it just looks like when you spill bleach on clothes. Their color is just faded out in strips and spots.
They are still eating well, very active, and fat.

I can't check water though I used my last strip earlier. I have to get some more. It was good earlier, but that was before the power went off. I hope it still is.

Sounds like they have Fungus/CottonWool Disease, you can get treatment at the shops for that but if their fry they may not survive it, you can only but try and it at least gives them a fighting chance, they have more than likely caught it from damaged tissue probably from being nipped by something else or each other.
