Ok, so I am guesstimating my platy fry to be about 3 days old. (I was gone this past weekend) How long before their yolk sacs are gone and they need to be fed? Will finely crushed flakes work as food? Also, I managed to capture 3 of them and put them in a 2 or 3 gallon tank, its got the original little filter, but the tank is too small for a heater, will they be ok in room temperature water? I left the others in the tank to fend for themselves, seeing which way of raising them would be better. My room is pretty mild/warm due to the lizard cages and all the heat that radiats off, but im thinking about 72-74 degrees. Thanks in advance for any advice!
Oh ya and by the way, not only were there platy fry, but there is also zebra danio fry as well, its crazy, and now my guppy is ready to pop... geez I prayed for fry, but not all at once! Woo.

Their yolk sacs should be gone from day one, so you should start feeding them immediately. Unless do you still see it on them, in which case they were premature? Finely crushed flakes will work, however alternating in some high protein foods and veggies will be best.

Room temperature should be OK, as long as it stays stable.

Hmm, I guess I dont know what you mean about high protein foods. I have some frozen bloodworms and beefheart for other fish of mine, would that work or probably not? I also have freeze dried bloodworms, but that tends to float and they dont really come up to the top. And what veggies do you suggest?

Yeah, freeze-dried, frozen and live foods are high protein foods. The things you mentioned are all fine, just make sure you clean the tank frequently beause it can mess up the water quality quickly. Since they aren't coming to the top, they may not feel safe. Try adding in some floating plants. Most green veggies work well....zucchini, cucumber, lettuce, and peas seem to be favorites with mine. It's best to blanch or steam them, just to soften it up for the fish. Peas also need to be shelled. :)
