I want to redo my ten gallon and am saving up money to do it because my parents don't seem to understand the importance of a balanced tank. It isn't planted and has 2 very lonely occupants. They are both cories but they are different species (didn't notice at first because they were bought at different times) and they ignore each other for the most part, but when the bronze cory (Steve) gets to close to the salt and pepper cory (Soccers) Soccers flips out and swims to the other side of the tank likes he is annoyed. It also seems like Soccers glares at me so I am starting to think everything annoys him.

Hi and welcome to the forum :)

Assuming the tank has an established biological filter running on it, you could add 3 more of each catfish and that would give them some friends.

Welcome to the forum! When you redo the tank, you should think about switching to sand if you don't have it already.

Welcome! I'm sure we can all fully encourage you to redo a tank if you think it'll benefit your fish! I've got a similar problem in terms of parents not quite understanding. We can learn together, lol.
