Still on the cycling process. My ammonia reading is probably around 7ppm to 8ppm so i stop adding ammonia yesterday because that's past 5ppm way too much. Should i change my water to lower the ammonia or leave it as it is for now? Yesterday i went to my friends house and got some sand gravel from his Fully cycle tank in a plastic bag. The bag was like 15 inch in height and was 1/4 full or 1/4 empty, hehehe .. which ever way you guyz perfer. Is it enough benificial bacteria for a 55 gallon tank or do i need to go back for some more? BTW, his was freshwater and mine is saltwater, are there any difference in benificial becteria? I hope i'm not asking stupid questions here? Please ... any response is appreciated and thanks a lot.
