Okay so I have two angel fish, two sunburst gouramis,an ablino rainbow shark, a tiger sucker fish, and a rope fish. Ive been feeding them one block of these a day

is that enough? or should I be feeding them more? I was just wondering cause it seems like my ropefish is a bit hungrier after.

My ropefish also keeps swimming up to the tank taking a breath of air and swimming down to the bottom more.

Am I feeding them enough? ANd is this okay.

Thanks for the help!

Are you feeding them any flakes etc? I'd of thought they should get their flakes and nutrition and be fed treats every so often. I know the likes of angels like blood worm but I can really comment on much because I have different cichlids. Someone will be on soon to advise but I'd think u should be feeding flakes and other nutrition and those whatlook to be frozen treats every so often

thank you so much! They are froozen blood worms :) Thanks

Yeah I agree with Sensesfail, blood worms are usually a treat, they don't have a balanced amount of all the nutrients a fish needs. Kinda like if a human ate only chicken breast. You should probably feed a good quality flake or pellet daily and use the bloodworm cubes once a week.

That said, feed no more than they can eat in 3-5 minutes. Fish are always hungry from instinct and can beg, I think your ropefish is fine unless you see he doesn't eat any of the food.

If you need a visual idea, a fish's stomach is supposed to be about the size of their eye, so they don't need tons of food.

+1 good quality flake loads on the market I have tetra pro crisps, tetra primer Discus which is also suitable for angels. The fish will beg once fed mine do all of the time, little buggers! makes me feel sorry for them but they are just being greedy they seem to eat enough in those 2 mins! Id just use the 2 min rule twice a day. Some even say fees smaller amounts 3-4 times a day but twice is fine. The fish food may say how much they can consume in 5 mins I'd go for 2mins! A lot of food can be consumed within 5 mins, and fish can go for long periods without food (we wouldn't subject them to it but I read somewhere they can last up2 two weeks!)
