Got my KH test today and the results were disappointing

pH 7
KH 4

which means only 12ppm

Despite the new Bottle getting all the CO2 into the tank my Home made diffuser just doesn't appear to be working. Anyone have an idea how to make another cheap diffuser.

what kind of diffuser did you make ? you could try making an active diffuser using powerheads and pumps to force the co2 into the water or you could try re designing your tank to minimize water agitation to reduce co2 loss. hope this helps !

i can see you are using a updturned bell type diffuser with mesh top for better diffusion what i advice is to take small steps, rethink your set up and look for means of reducing water agitation, if it doesn't work, go and make your self a power diffuser using a powerhead
