Added a new CT to my tank and put him in the end section where my red VT has always been..

Within 1 day he developed white stuff round is mouth (not cotton like) just like a drying up effect..

He died today, all the toher fsh in the tank are fine..

This happend not long back with my tank full of females and wiped them all out, i know i ant passed the disease from tank to tank cos all tanks have sperate nets, buckets, etc...

This is really annoying cos i dont know what it is..

Anyone able to help?

Thanks

Awww.. I'm so sorry this is happening :( *HUGS*
Maybe it's just bad bad BAD luck?
Did you put the new betta into a quarantine tank first?
I definitely would start if you haven't been. Don't want a new betta to bring in a disease and get your others sick in the tank.
Have you been getting them from the same petstore? Maybe their bettas are just sick to begin with and the stress of bringing them home is making them more suseptable to the disease they already have or something... *shrugs*

Aint got a clue what it is, today i ahve replaced all thier food for new stuff, changed plants done a big waterchange and treated thier tank, although the other 3 males seem fine

Water stats was spot on as well.

Thanks for that, its hard to say without seeing pics that looked like mine did, but it was intresting to read about the teperature part cos i noticed the temp on the tank was at 29C earlier and usually its only at 26C.

Thanks again, i have took the appropriate actions as directed to help prevent this spreading.
