not a fish but my frog!!!

i came home today to find my adf floating upside down but still trying to swim around. and somehow, the filter (an internal one) had fallen apart (the motor came off of the body) so that wasn't working. i gently flipped the frog over with the net but am still really worried about him. he's just sorta resting atop some plants kicking once in a while.

i've had three of these guys die in the last year. two from a water problem and one got his leg stuck in the filter. any help would be really appreciated.

Sage, my ADF has gotten into some precarious positions, too. He was on his back once, and I rolled him over. My two dwarfies live in unfiltered 1 gallon bowls, and LaFitte, my female, has lived in that bowl for about 2 years. So I don't think the lack of filteration would make it sick. I would do a water change, and keep a close eye on him.
