Jonny.

Description and Specific Information
Keep in groups of 3 or more with more females than males (1 male, 2 females, 2 males, 3 females, etc). The males chase the females to breed with them. Multiple females per male is less stressful on the females. If you intend to keep a pure strain do not keep with Platies or other Swordtails as they will interbreed and produce hybrids.
Distribution
Central America: Rio Tamasi drainage in San Luis Potosi, Mexico. Inhabits fast flowing creeks in mountainous areas up to 1200 m elevation.
Sexing
Males have the "sword" and a modified pointed anal fin called a gonopodium. Females have a gravid patch and a rounded anal fin.
Adult size
2.40 in (6.10 cm)
