After almost curing the columaris disease I found he was lying there on his side breathing slowly I know he is going to die, I can tell. :-( And tracing back he was not 3 years old he was 4. He was the first guppy I ever had and will be soroly missed when he dies.
Is there any way I can cure it?

There is no cure for old age mate.

Sorry to be a bit callous, but guppies very rarely live to four years old and you have been very lucky / talented to keep him this long.

NOOOOOOOOOO! He died! :-(
I found him dead at the bottom of the tank and removed him and buried him in a houseplant pot. He will be missed. Well on a lighter note next weekend I'm getting a 215L for my guppies.

Sad to hear that but i guess the life span of guppies is max 4 years i guess.

Oh well. He will be missed but I guess your right they dont live for long and I was very lucky to make him live for 4 years.
And yes I will enjoy my new tank! Tahnks kirb.

Im so sorry for your loss
Like the others said, that is a really good 'ol' age for a gup
Do you still have any of his offspring?

I am terribly sorry. I hate to see fish leave. Yeah if your guppy has some offspring your in luck!
