i need more info!any symptoms marks on the body,it sounds like the water to me

well there was no marks on the boady i think it was oxagen iv put the tank in to cycal with no fish in there hope fally it will get better :(

need a little more info first;
a. what are your water stats and when was the last time you tested your water?
b. Is the tank new; if so how long has it been running for...
c. and how big is it?
d. have you used any deodrant/room sprays or anything else near the tank recently that could have contaminated the water?
e. what are the fish's symtoms(i.e rapid breathing/gill movement/hanging near the surface/bottom of the tank lots etc)?
f. What are you fish species and numbers in the tank in total(dead ones and live ones)?

A cant rember it was allright and i did a water change today

B no tis not new

C its a 10 g

D no

E fish where at the top breathing hevey

F thrre was 7 guppies 1 small angal and a smal plec

It sounds like a water quality problem to me; i would go and get some water quality testing kits that test ammonia/nitrates/nitrites minimum ASAP. I would start by doing some water changes, 30% ones over the next week, once every one or two days.
A 10gal tank is too small for angels and plecs and they would have out grown the tank very soon; make sure you remove all the dead bodys as quickly as you can otherwise they will just contribute to the water quality problems.
ps: have you used any chemicals/medications in the tank recently?
What is your tank cleaning regime on an average basis like? And also, how quickly do you know the problems came about roughly? Have the fish been looking a little off color recently before all this happened and if so, for how long?

the plec is a hong kong plec what is small and the tank is a tall one wot i was told by people would be bigernuff for a angal i had put in the tank proper ph and ome stuff for the water to get rid off clorine and some maelafix cos some of the guppies had fips in there fins

ah, the melafix! melafix, being an antibacterial, will kill your beneficial bacteria. also, did you take out your carbon like the bottle says to do?

unless your water is at the extremes of the pH scale, i would not recommend using "proper pH" or any of its cousins. a constant pH between 6 & 8 is suitable for most fish and much better than a fluctuating one.

i was told to put proper pH in cos last time i went to lfs they testid my water and siad it was 2 hight so i was told to put proper pH 7.0 in my tank

melafix doesn't kill bacteria...

anyway, it's probably the propwer pH that caused your fish to breath heavily as a swing in pH will do them harm.

never, ever believe what the guy at the lfs is saying, especially when he ends up selling you something to "cure" the problem. Did you ask him what the pH was before messing with it?

:) Could it not have been a lack of air though? -_- Do you have any real plants in your tank Guppy? If not, you could try some of them. I have loads in my tanks because they look really cool, but I have to be careful because they give out oxygen during the day, but take it back in at night. So I have an air stone in each of my tanks too, and they stay on all the time. :)

Im tired, so i didnt really read the whole post, so it may have been brought up, but did u buy them from the same person? If so, go and buy them from a different source! :)

the ph was 9.0 or a bit higher but i have put the ph stuff in befor and it did not do any think but i did not buy the PH stuff at the time he told me i went to a othere fish shop

no none of the gupies died

yes i think it was lack of air i have real plants in it and i had added more that day and i was going to get a new pump with air filter on it soon very soon

i moved all the othere fish to my other tank and have left the light on for the plants and put the pump high so it like a water full
